FTP and File Upload

FTP

SGS now uses a secure FTPS server with separate logins for each client. In order to use the FTP site, please contact Randy Herget at (801) 621-1575. We have a streamlined version of the FileZilla FTP software available to make connecting easy:

SGS FTP software (6/3/2011, version 3.5.0,
SHA-256: d1ff08f5e21aee2de62fc7df105b5499786fcee09a572379cb01b489fbbf9340)

Download the EXE and run it. No installation is necessary, and you do not need to be an administrator to use the software. You will be prompted for the username and password you received from SGS.

Alternatively, you may configure your existing FileZilla installation to use the SGS FTP server.

Use the FTP site when:

  • you need to download files from SGS.
  • you need access to the uploaded files later.
  • you need to upload multiple files.
  • you need to upload a file larger than 2 GB.

Do not use the FTP site when:

  • your firewall blocks outgoing connections on nonstandard ports.
  • your system settings prevent you from downloading software to your computer.

File Upload

SGS also has a web-based file upload tool available. This works through your web browser and requires no extra software. Click the link below:

upload.sgstech.com

Use the file upload when:

  • you need to quickly upload a single file.
  • your firewall blocks outgoing connections on nonstandard ports.
  • your system settings prevent you from downloading software to your computer.

Do not use the file upload when:

  • you need to download your uploaded file later.
  • you need to upload multiple files.
  • you need to upload a file larger than 2 GB.
